Vizara Plantations Limited, situated some 10 km away from Chintheche turn off (M5 Road) invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the vacant position of Assistant Forester. Reporting to the Mill Manager, the candidates will be responsible for the day-to-day field operations – harvesting and other assigned duties. Candidates should have the following criteria;
QUALIFICATIONS
A minimum of Diploma in forestry from a recognized institution. Those with higher qualifications will have an added advantage.
Should have worked in forestry department or private company with not less than 5 years of experience in a very busy Agricultural Plantation/ forestry having felling operations will be given preference
Aged between 25 to 40
Excellent in written and oral communication skills
Should have a driving licence for motorcycle code A/ A1
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES These shall include but not limited to;
Monitoring all felling operations in the Field- Logging section.
Labour Management.
Monitoring of budget and cost control, to ensure there is no over expenditure.
Advance planning and implementation of various general works assigned.
Monitoring fuel usage of logging vehicles.
And any other duties assigned from time to time
REMUNERATIONS
Remuneration will be in line with the experience and suitability of the candidate.
