Malawi AIDS Counselling and Resource Organization (MACRO)

Malawi AIDS Counselling and Resource Organization (MACRO) is a leading NGO established in 1995 to support Malawi’s efforts in combating HIV, AIDS, and other health-related challenges. With a vision of a Malawi free from ill-health, MACRO is dedicated to transforming lives through the delivery of high-quality HIV prevention, treatment, and care services. The organization works hand-in-hand with the government and various international partners to reduce the impact of HIV/AIDS while addressing critical health needs across the country.

In partnership with the Embassy of the Netherlands and Frontline AIDS, MACRO is spearheading the READY+ program, targeting young people aged 10-29 in Blantyre, Lilongwe, and Mzuzu. The program focuses on empowering adolescents and young adults living with or affected by HIV, ensuring they gain resilience, knowledge, and the freedom to exercise their sexual and reproductive health rights. By providing disaggregated age-appropriate health services and economic empowerment initiatives, MACRO is committed to fostering a healthier, more empowered youth population.
