Job Overview
LMJ Medical Hospital is inviting applications from qualified and dedicated Registered Nurses to join its clinical team. The successful candidates will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care and supporting positive patient outcomes.
The Role
The Registered Nurse will provide professional nursing services, support medical teams, and ensure patients receive safe, effective, and compassionate care.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide high-quality patient care in line with professional nursing standards.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately.
• Monitor patient progress and document clinical observations.
• Work closely with doctors, midwives, and other healthcare professionals.
• Educate patients and families on health promotion, disease prevention, and treatment plans.
• Ensure infection prevention and control standards are upheld.
• Participate in continuous professional development and quality improvement activities.
Qualifications and Skills
• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from a recognized institution.
• Valid registration with the Nurses and Midwives Council of Malawi (NMCM) or an equivalent body.
• At least one (1) year of clinical experience in a hospital or community setting.
• Good knowledge of nursing practices, ethics, and patient safety standards.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic healthcare environment.
• High level of professional integrity and compassion.
• Willingness to work shifts and extended hours when required.
