Reporting to: Maintenance Supervisor
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair water supply lines, irrigation systems and drainage systems
- Respond promptly to plumbing-related guest requests and emergencies;
- Install and repair fixtures such as taps, showers, toilets, and valves;
- Maintain hot water systems, geysers/boilers, pumps, and pressure systems;
- Conduct routine inspections of guest rooms, kitchens, laundries, and pool to detect leaks or inefficiencies;
- Maintain storm water drains and ensure all drainage systems are clear;
- Ensure preventative maintenance tasks are performed;
- Assist with small refurbishment projects and renovations;
- Ensure work areas are safe, clean, and compliant with health and building standards.
Qualifications and Experience
- Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE);
- Trade Test Certificate in Plumbing or TEVET Certificate in Plumbing or its equivalent;
- Advanced plumbing certifications will be an added advantage
- Minimum of two (2) years’ practical plumbing experience in a commercial or hospitality setting.
