Reporting to: Maintenance Supervisor
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, lighting, wiring, distribution boards, and sockets.
- Maintain backup power systems including generators, UPS, and emergency lighting.
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure compliance with electrical safety standards.
- Troubleshoot power failures, equipment faults, and malfunctions.
- Support HVAC, kitchen equipment, and laundry equipment electrical needs.
- Keep accurate maintenance logs and update asset condition reports.
- Assist with energy efficiency initiatives and load management.
Qualifications and Experience
- Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE)
- Trade Test Certificate in Electrical Installation or TEVET Certificate in Electrical Installation or its equivalent
- Advanced or higher-level electrical certificates will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of two (2) years’ hands-on experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in a busy commercial or hospitality environment.
